recently, there's this guy from another dept.... somehow, he got to know me and recently, we started a newspaper exchange program. he gave me his Today while I will give him My Paper. So , he will come over almost everyday.

His presence is quite noticable til my boss said to him... seems like now u are appearing here more often than in ur own dept....

Then today, he came again.. and my boss said: why dun u find a job here instead??
then they started the thing that I am single, so is he...
somehow, talk abt interested in me.... then tis guy (lets nick him as LKK) said... ya of coz... im interested in her! who will not be???
As i was in a concall with a headset, i pretended not to hear and shooed them away, saying im busy!
Then my boss asked lkk... whether he got $ 1st anot?
then lkk said.. money of coz i have!
then i said: like tat can consider lah!
lkk then mentioned something like.. thats why he started the newspaper exchange program, as a stepping stone.... and my boss turned to me and said: ask him to cut the process lah.... show u his bank account can already....

Gosh! I am such an uncle killer!!!

weddings

Just came back from a wedding dinner of my mum's friend's daughter... she was sort of like my playmate when we were young.. u know, we always play with mama's friends children. But it was like donkey years ago.. even before I went primary school... but yes, i do still remember her...

And she's married now!! and shes younger than me!!

It was a great dinner (minus the fact that I could only eat the steamed fish. no sharksfin! no crispy chicken! hmpfh!). The wedding was sweet and cute...

The couple knew each other in the dragon boat team, hence you know the crowd lah.. young, hip, sporty, tanned, great bods.. great sports! they made the wedding very lively. The 2 cute emcees are hilarious & cute!

As usual, they show the motage of their young age, and also wat happened in the morning. The bros actually wore tee and khaki pants.. and its their uniform... so extraordinary!

The dragonboat team also made a video for them with their friends wishing them all the best, etc... seems like they are so right for each another... that the whole world is wishing them the very best life ahead.

The emcees asked the groom why did he choose her, and his answer was.. cant you see that shes the most beautiful woman in this room?
I felt like raising my hands and said : Hello!! Didnt you see me??
But better not, it's their big day afterall... hehe

And the bride teared... she must be real happy to have found such a sweetie..
(Even I felt like crying too... so sweet.. sob... )

Then there was a special surprise from the groom to the bride. He sang a song in the video for the bride. It's soooo sweet! awwwwww

She's real lucky to found such a sweet hubby and from the bottom of my heart, blissful life ahead my old old playmate!

Hope my one sweet day will come soon too!! and may it be even sweeter!!

NDP2008

It is a blessing for us to be living in Singapore where it is all so peaceful and safe.
So I guess we should really celebrate our good fortune to be here...

firstly, my deepest condolence to China for the Sichuan earthquake which took away alot of lives and broke thousands of family up.

It's really devastating to watch the news and look at how destroyed the whole place is now. how they dig up more corpses and how the parents wailed at their kids who got buried under the schools...

Yesterday, there were warning that flood might occur to some villages and the news showed fotage of the survivors running away from their home town...

Oh my god! It really look like a scene from the movie.. but the only difference is.. this time, it is for real.

I wish I can be there to help them, offer them food, help to search for their loved ones, give them warmth, lend them a shoulder, rebuild their home... but of coz, i guess many think like me, but there is nothing much we can do here....

the only thing we can do now is pray for them and provide some financial support for them.

Broadway Beng

Went for the play @ National Library yesterday...
I always wanted to watch Broadway Beng since the 2nd season.. but i couldnt find any ah bengs or ah lians to go along with me...
finally... 3rd season come... I have to go! and I can find my ah beng to watch with me... hehe
It's hilarous and I was laughing throughout the show (almost). His jokes are all so Singaporean and up-to-date. He even joked abt Mas Selamat.. It was real funny! .."no windows in the toilet..." wahahaha...
I wont tell you more... go catch it yourself! The run is extended to 17 May.. so do go and watch it!

But a note... brush up your hokkien and you will enjoy the show more!
