IT Support Analyst (prefer from Asset Mgmt/Fund Houses) - Only Singaporeans will be considered

Our client is a very well established fund management instituition, with almost 30 years of investment success in the Asia Pacific market.


As IT Support Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth implementation, and support of all operations systems.

Only Singaporean / PR candidates with competency in SQL, .Net, C++, VBA, EXCEL programming will be considered.


Responsibilities


1) Maintain in-house hedge funds system, which encompasses:

§ Understanding of investment team and operation users business and process requirements and translating into technical implementations;

§ troubleshooting technical issues;

§ developing new reports;

§ implementing system / database upgrade.



2) Maintain front end trading system (Bloomberg POMS), which encompasses:

§ supporting users and troubleshooting issues including implementing program logic and making use of upload functionalities to resolve issues;

§ liaising with the vendor to provide solution to the various issues;

§ codes maintenance, e.g update broker’s commission logic;

§ report extraction; and

§ acquiring a strong understanding of investment team and operation users business and process requirements so as to better support their needs



3) Develop in-house solutions to:

§ automate existing/new processes, e.g fund price upload;

§ complement existing processes, e.g generating of alert messages; and

§ extract data for management reporting



4) Project Management

§ assume a lead role in new initiatives involving IT by liaising with different parties and stakeholders; and

§ liaise with vendor for purchase of licenses and consultancy services.


Requirements


§ Bachelors degree in IT with effective diagnostic and communication skills;

§ At least 4 years of relevant working experience; preferably in a banks/fund or investment houses

§ Possesses a solution mindset and a strong service mentality;

§ Independent, able to follow-up with vendors to resolve issues and discuss with internal users on issues;

§ Proficiency in SQL, .Net-C#, VBA and Excel programming;

§ Familiarity with Bloomberg POMS and Finlab Packhedge will be an advantage;

§ Strong understanding of asset management industry, processes and trading products is preferred.
